Recently, the 500-kilovolt Mishi River (Qinghe) power transmission and transformation project designed by SDEPCI was successfully energized at one time and officially put into operation. This marks the completion of the first extra-high voltage grid connection channel of the Lubei Saline-alkali Beach Landscape, Wind, Energy Storage and Transmission Integrated Base, one of the five major clean energy bases in Shandong Province. It also kicks off the prelude of the State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company serving the grid connection of new energy projects in the form of high voltage levels and large capacities.
The SDEPCI has carried out in-depth technological innovation and refined design. It integrated the elements of solar panels into the color and texture of the fiber cement board exterior wall, achieving an organic dialogue between the industrial building and the surrounding environment. Through the adoption of three-dimensional design, it has accurately positioned the door and window openings as well as the embedded pipelines. It organized the secondary in-depth design by the exterior wall panel manufacturer and assisted the construction unit in precisely positioning the pipelines embedded in the wall panels, achieving zero secondary hole opening for the wall panels.
This project is one of the major implementation projects in Shandong Province in 2024, and it is also one of the 500-kilovolt substations in Shandong Power Grid that first adopted prefabricated buildings. Moreover, it is the first extra-high voltage power transmission and transformation project that was completed and put into operation in the Shandong Power Grid in 2025.
It provides a reliable connection point for the large-scale integration of new energy from the Lubei Base into the power grid. It further optimizes the power grid structure in the Lubei region, enhances the region's capacity to absorb new energy electricity, and contributes to the construction of the power transmission pattern of transmitting electricity from the north to the south within Shandong Province.
