R&D Achievements of SDEPCI Listed in National Catalogue of Major Energy Technology Equipment

Recently, the National Energy Administration(NEA) released its 2025 No.1 Public Notice, listing 77 FOC major technical equipment in the fourth batch of energy sector innovations. Among these, the 630 ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired power generation unit(1000MW) jointly developed by SDEPCI was included in the catalogue. Additionally, SDEPCI's designed ‌Huashan 2×75MW Gas-Steam Combined Cycle Cogeneration Project‌ in Shandong Province has become the supporting project for the major technical equipment of the fully self-controllable F-class 50 MW heavy-duty gas turbine generator set for distributed energy stations.

The 630°C Ultra-Supercritical Coal-Fired Unit (1000MW), implemented under the Datang Yuncheng National Power Demonstration Project, utilizes China's domestically developed G115 high-temperature material to achieve a thermal efficiency exceeding 50% and 20% deep peak-shaving capability. It is the single-shaft 1,000 MW double reheat unit with the highest pressure, the highest temperature, the highest efficiency, and the lowest coal consumption in the world. At present, SDEPCI has completed 56 technical special research reports, and more than half of the construction drawing design has been completed, providing a strong technical guarantee for the project construction.

Shandong Huashan 2×75MW Gas-Steam Combined Cycle Cogeneration Project designed by SDEPCI, is a key municipal livelihood safeguard and clean heating initiative in Jinan. It integrates advanced design features such as energy-efficient cascaded utilization, flexible operational modes, peak-shaving-adapted steam turbine selection, and symmetrically arranged combined plant layouts. After it is put into operation, the annual power generation will be approximately 600 million kWh. In winter, it can meet the heating demand of about 3 million square meters, and in summer, it can meet the cooling demand of about 1.2 million square meters, achieving the combined supply of cooling, heating and electricity.

SDEPCI will continue leveraging its technical strengths and innovation capabilities to actively invest in the development of advanced technical equipment.continuously  break through and master key technologies, steadily promote demonstration applications, and make greater contributions to the implementation of the demonstration tasks of the first (set) of major technical equipment.
