On August 28, the commencement ceremony was held for the 2×1,000MW units expansion project of Shaanxi Investment Group Xinfeng Energy, which is contracted by SDEPCI. Wu Zhongqiong, Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee, issued the commencement order. The ceremony was attended by Leaders from Central China Energy Regulatory Bureau of National Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, Shaanxi Investment Group, Jiangxi Province, Ganzhou City, Xinfeng County governments and relevant departments , as well as the project participating units. Zheng Haicun, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SDEPCI, attended and delivered a speech. Gong Junting, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, also attended.
On behalf of the EPC contractor, Zheng Haicun extended warm congratulations on the commencement of the Xinfeng project and expressed heartfelt gratitude to leaders from all sectors and partners who have shown care and support for the development of SDEPCI. He pointed out that SDEPCI will give full play to its technical and management advantages, comprehensively strengthen safety and quality control, actively build a multi-party cooperation team, achieve in-depth integration of design, procurement, construction and commissioning, ensure that the units are put into operation on schedule with high standards, and spare no effort to give a satisfactory answer.
This project is the first coal-fired power project in China to be equipped with integrated smart energy such as photovoltaic power， micro-wind power within the plant area during the infrastructure construction period, enabling green power construction. It is also the first 1000MW class coal-fired power project in China that has the mixed burning capability of biomass, waste, and sludge, in primary design. It can achieve energy-saving, high-efficiency, low-carbon, flexible, and intelligent operation under all working conditions, and features a series of highlights, including zero discharge of wastewater for the whole power plant, coal mining and coal-electricity production joint venture, coal-electricity production new energy joint venture.
