On November 7, SDEPCI and Aboitiz Power signed the EPC general contract for the Bay Energy Storage Project in Manila, Philippines, marking a significant achievement in deepening the Philippine market and a new breakthrough in international development. ‌

Vice General Manager Sun Ligang of SDEPCI, President James Arnold Villaroman of Aboitiz Renewable Energy Inc., Chief Operating Officer Alex B. Coo, and President Jeffrey Estrella of Aboitiz Power Renewable Energy Inc. attended the signing ceremony.

On November 8, Sun Ligang conducted an on-site inspection of the Bay Energy Storage Project to assess construction conditions and external circumstances. During his visit to the Philippine subsidiary, he reviewed progress reports and issued specific requirements for project implementation. Moving forward, SDEPCI will adopt a scientifically organized approach with meticulous planning, rigorous design, and strict quality control to ensure efficient project advancement, aiming to establish a benchmark energy storage project in the Philippines.
