The Indonesian Boya 2×660 MW Pit Head Coal-Fired Power Plant Project Achieved Dual Unit Commissioning

  At 18:00 Jakarta time on September 21, Unit 2 of Huadian Indonesian Boya 2×660 MW pithead coal-fired power plant project, designed by Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corp., Ltd.(hereinafter called the “SDEPCI), successfully completed the entire test run, achieving the annual target of  double commissioning and being fully handed over for production.

  The project is the largest power project in Sumatra, a typical demonstration of the Belt and Road Initiative and a successful model of friendly cooperation between China and Indonesia. The full operation of the project will effectively improve the regional power structure, boost local employment and economic development, writing a new chapter of the Belt and Road in terms of mutual benefit and win-win progress, mutual understanding and affinity among the people, and cultural communication and exchange between China and Indonesia.

   The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. As a central enterprise in the energy sector, SDEPCI has been striving to be a steadfast supporter and active practitioner of the Belt and Road Initiativeand has been engaged in energy engineering construction in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iraq, Serbia, Jordan, Zambia, Panama ,Venezuela, etc.
