On December 9,2020, SDEPCI signed the general contract of ELITE1 376MW gas combined cycle power generation project with ELITE Mexico using the "mobile online signing" network, marking Shandong Institute's formal entry into the North American market. Under the severe global epidemic, SDEPCI obtained the general contract for this international project, which demonstrated the enterprise's excellent strength and good brand reputation.

    Mr. Luis, Chairman of ELITE and Mr. Gerardo, General Manager of ELITE, Mr. Wang Leiming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shandong Institute, Mr. Zheng Haicun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of SDEPCI attended the signing ceremony and signed the contract on behalf of the two parties.

    Mr. Gerardo, speaking on behalf of ELITE, highly recognized the specialized and internationalized general contracting strength of Shandong Institute, expressed his confidence in the cooperation between the two sides, and hoped to work closely with SDEPCI to promote the project together. Wang Leiming expressed his gratitude to ELITE for the support and trust given to SDEPCI and promised that SDEPCI would set up a professional business and technical team to support the follow-up work of the project, and to ensure the smooth landing of the project.

     The project is located in Sonora, Mexico, consists of a set of H-class single-shaft, one-tractor gas-steam combined cycle generating units with a net output of about 376MW and ancillary facilities.

     At present, the international business of SDEPCI covers more than 40 countries and regions around the world, with business fields including thermal power, new energy, combustion turbines, biomass, power transmission, and transformation, etc., and business types including planning, design, general contracting, etc. Since the launch of the international business, the Institute has signed international project contracts of 13.3 billion yuan, including survey, design, and consulting contract of 1.45 billion yuan and general contracting contracts of 11.85 billion yuan, and the international business has become an significant support for the strategic development of the enterprise and an momentous source of profit.
