On March 7th 2019, the gas-fired combined cycle power plant project in Pancevo, Serbia, which was surveyed and designed by SDEPCI, held a commencement celebration at the project site in the host country.
The project, with a total unit capacity of 161 MW, will provide steam and part of the industrial electricity for the local oil refinery, and other electricity will be sent to the Serbian power grid. This project is a critical energy construction project in Serbia, and is also the first time that SDEPCI undertakes a power generation design project in the European market. The general contractor of this project is Shanghai Electric, the general designer is SDEPCI, and the constructor is Gazprom and Serbian Oil and Gas Group. SDEPCI also acts as the controlling party of the local design institute, controlling the overall quality and progress of the project, and is responsible for the overall technical indicators.
During the design process, SDEPCI adjusted and optimized the design quality and progress control measures for the local design company to guarantee the smooth implementation of the project. Leading officals of SDEPCI have rich experience ledding the team to Serbia to participate in the design review. For the on site construction work, SDEPCI dispatched the civil engineers, steam engine enginners, and electrical engineering designers to stationed in Serbia for a long/fixed period. Those enginners are assigned to regularly communicate with the local teams and strengthen the design control. They are prepered to communicates and exchange the review comments in person. Inside the copany, SDEPCI carries out the review of three-dimensional models and relevant design conferences promptly to explore control methods and ensure the design quality and progress.
