Xiangjiaba-Shanghai ±800kV EHV DC Power Transmission Demonstration Project is from Sichuan Yibin Fulong Converter Substation and ends in Shanghai Fengxian Converter Substation. It goes through Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai eight provinces and municipal cities on the way and spans Changjiang River for four times. The total length of the line is 1907km. The rated voltage of the project is ±800 and the transmission capacity could reach 7000MW. After the project was put into operation, it could export 32 billion kW/h clean power energy to Shanghai and the maximum feeding power approximately takes up one third of the peak load in Shanghai. It could save the raw coal of 15 million tons and reduce the carbon dioxide emission of 30 million tons.
